introductions.

Hello there! My name is ren, I'm from the crappy wonderful suburbs of Toronto, Canada. I migrated here from tumblr, a bit backwards I know, but I wanted to have a blog to actually blog on. Something I haven't done on my tumblr for the almost two years I've had it for.

I take it you would like to know a little bit about me or at least I'd like to hope so. I'm a highschool junior interested in photography, English, and social sciences. I honestly have no idea what I'm going to do after I graduate, and much as I'd love to pursue photography, I don't think I have the talent to do so. So I'll probably end up taking a year off to sort myself out and maybe be an au pair in England, and then maybe go to uni to become a high school teacher.

I'm in a long distance relationship with a lovely English boy named Jack, and we're nearing the two year mark. We have 5000km and 5 hours between us, but we make it work. If all goes well he should be visiting in December. Expect a lot of posts about that. I like him quite a bit. 

I absolutely adore indie and alternative rock, as well as music with a bit of a folky sound. Some of my favourite artists include Stars, The Shins, Fleet Foxes, Coldplay, Beach House, Good Old War, and Driftless Pony Club. 

I'm a bit of a Harry Potter geek (and by a bit I mean I bleached my hair and dyed it purple last summer so I could dress up as Tonks). Lately I've been filling the Potter sized hole in my heart with Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. Earthbender for life baby. I'm a sucker for reading, whenever I can find the time for it that is. My favourite book has to be The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. Though The Great Gatsby holds a close second.
